File tools on this site run in your browser. When you drop a PDF or a photo, it is not uploaded to a FileOnDesk server and we do not store it. There is no file locker and no account.

Text you paste into word count or case converter also stays in the page until you close or refresh the tab.

Pages themselves are normal websites. The host, and analytics if added later, may see that you opened a URL, your IP, and browser type. That is not the same as receiving your attachment.

Contact mail to hello@fileondesk.com is stored in the inbox like any email. Do not send identity documents there.

If this policy changes, the date on the site will move. Tools will still say, on the tool page: your file is not uploaded to our server.
